Despite the name (which actually refers to the distillery’s location in the ‘High Park’ of Kirkwall, as opposed to the lower-lying land around it), Highland Park is not located in the Highlands, but on the northern isle of Orkney. Until a distillery opens on Shetland, that makes it the furthest-north distillery in Scotland, beating out neighbour Scapa by about half a mile.
This whisky is an independently bottled Highland Park from the Murray McDavid Benchmark series, that has been exclusively bottled for the British Embassy Berlin. Selected by Coenicker Whisky-Herbst. Distilled 1989 and bottled 2004 from a Refill Sherry Cask. Bottle no. 28 of 276. Not chill filtered and not coloured.
N.B. - Please note the condition of the labels and packaging and also the fill levels of any bottle before bidding.
