The valley of the Garioch, pronounced ‘Geery’ in the Old Doric dialect of Aberdeenshire, has long been famed for the quality and quantity of its grain: in fact, the name means ‘granary’, and this region produced barley malt that was once exported all over Scotland.
A very limited Hand Selected release from Murray McDavid, from Glen Garioch Distillery for their Aficionado series. Distilled in 1993 and bottled at 19 years old. Bottle no. 1 of 2.
