It was in 1963 that the Glenfiddich Distillery Co. produced an official bottling of a single malt, which was virtually unheard of at the time: just ten years later, they were selling 120,000 cases a year.
In January 2010 several warehouses at the Glenfiddich Distillery collapsed under a huge weight of snow. This limited edition whisky was made with casks selected from the snow damaged warehouses, a mix of Oloroso sherry casks and traditional whisky casks made of American oak of different ages were used in this interesting single malt.
