The village of Dalwhinnie, sitting at an altitude of 351m above sea level, holds the dubious honour of being one of the coldest places in the UK, with an average annual temperature of 6.6ºC. Such an environment made it almost inevitable that the locals would turn to whisky to keep themselves warm…and the local sources of clear spring water and abundant peat made this an obvious location for a new distillery.
Limited edition bottling from Dalwhinnie, is one of the oldest official bottlings that they have released. Distilled 1966 and bottled in 2002, bottle no. 624 of 1500.
N.B. - Please note the condition of the labels and packaging and also the fill levels of any bottle before bidding.
