The valley of the Garioch, pronounced ‘Geery’ in the Old Doric dialect of Aberdeenshire, has long been famed for the quality and quantity of its grain: in fact, the name means ‘granary’, and this region produced barley malt that was once exported all over Scotland.
Hand Filled at the distillery this Glen Garioch was distilled in 1985 and bottled in 30/11/2018 from cask no. 1586. Bottle no. 094.
A Rare single cask release from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, established in 1797. This superb whisky has been in a sherry cask for over 33 years and the taste and colour of this whisky is superb. The bottle was personally signed by the Suntory Master Blender of Glen Garioch Distillery, Olivier Fagnen.
