Glen Albyn (built 1884) along with its neighbour Glen Mhor were bastions of Highland distilling in Inverness until they were both closed in 1983. An innovative distillery, there were few official bottlings of Glen Albyn in its life-time due to most of its output being used for blends. A few independent bottlers have released Glen Albyn as a single-malt since then, but these are few and far between....
