We witnessed some stand out lots selling for fantastic prices in our 4th Global Whisky Auction and some great collectable bottles in the auction which attracted a great deal of interest from around the Globe.
Another bottle from Port Ellen this time bottled by Speciality Drinks for the Elements of Islay range, was the Pe5, which achieved a healthy £400. The last of the Port Ellen’s, this time bottled at 35 years old by Hunter Laing, finished on a hammer price of £740.
Another bottling from Islay was the 2016 release of the 25-Year-Old, bottled as part of the distilleries Bicentenary and was a nod to the contribution that Lagavulin distillery managers have made in crafting Lagavulin across the years. This bottle ended the auction with a hammer price of £940.
A couple of lots of Macallan also made a good return for their sellers. The Macallan-Glenlivet 1940 bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for Import Pinerolo in Italy made £2300, while a collection of 3 half bottles from the early 2000’s made a great return of £330.
We already have some wonderful bottles lined up for our next auction, but there is still time to enter your bottle or a collection!
